Re: Headlight Out
Bump..
I know this thread is a bit old but I just replaced both lowbeams myself after one went out, and wanted to share my experience for anyone who is worried that this is hard and considering paying the dealership anything to do this. I did this in the driveway with no tools other than my fingers. I took the rubber covers off the back of both lowbeams. I pulled the plugs off the old bulbs. I pushed the retaining spring clips in and over with my index finger and swung them out of the way. I will grant it's a bit tough but unless you have really delicate fingers it's not that hard. Space is also a bit tight on the passenger side with the tank that is there but not impossible. I pulled the old bulbs out noting that the tab was pointing down. I inserted the new bulbs making sure the tabs were also down and that they set firmly into the socket. I pushed the retaining spring clip in and back over to hold bulb in place, making sure the bulb didn't move from being set. I plugged the wires back in and replaced the covers. I started the car and turned on the my new sliverstar bulbs and all looks good. I took maybe 30 minutes and if I had to do it again knowing how to do it for sure I'd guess it would take maybe 10 minutes.
