I had my radio replaced with an Alpine CDA-9820XM and I watched the guy pull the "Infinity" stereo out.

He used two nail clipper files, the little blade that folds out, and pushed in toward the center of the radio. Out the radio came!

Now this guy has installed 1000s of radios in MBs and other European cars, so he may know the secret hand shake on how to pull the Becker radios out of the Crossfire.

I still have the OEM radio at home, but I dont' remember anything near the metal clips. Behind the face plate, the radio is like any other, a metal sleeve that encases the radio.
