My shop does the dyno in 3rd gear and I dont know it there is a meaningful difference for 3rd of 4th. Can anyone help specify the preferred method. Its nice that the curve starts out early, providing the view across the rpm range. The operator just eases into it from third and it does not seem to have a problem shifting down.
Real interesting is that your initial torque curve and mine at 2000 have the same shape of that little rectangular step up before if falls back to be flat. Must be a characterisitic of the transmission torque controller. Does anybody have more info on the internal operation of transmission torque control function? The service manual does not detail any meaningful information.
Glad to see that you got a chance to put down some numbers on the dyno. Do you have the altitude of the shop by any chance?
