DID IT. what i did was break a pair of tweezers in half. then stick the tweezer into the slot, hugging the 'outisde' wall of the radio. once the tweezer stops, you have to push it horizontally towards the door. you might hear a metallic clicnk. thats the clip. its a pain in the @$$ to hold the clip and pull the unit out, so i had a friend help. one worked the tweezer while the other pulled out the unit. yes i could have ordered crutchfield part number 120869001, but im just not that patient

i really wanted this radio in this weekend.
