I've always liked the idea of the opening near the firewall to amplify the sound immensely! To me the best intake would be a main filter directly where this Code-3 mod resides for the best response possible, as long as you have something else to cool the intake such as methanol. Or if someone customizes their hood with a scoop right over it.
