When I tried to insert the new box, it would not go in. I found out the "walls" of the cupholder also have to be removed. I would recommend that you use multiple layers of masking tape to protect the console, especially around the opening. Then start cutting away. It takes patience, you have to be careful, and it will take some time but it's better than removing the console. Eventually you will get it all out and the box will slide right in (and I think it goes in B).

Much as some like the cupholder, the box is MUCH more useful IMHO. Good luck!
