Re: Trying out the Code 3 Intake Mod
I like my needswing, w/ the code 3 pulley set up, and along w/ an LET custom tune to pull it all together...and if you want to continue to go after another .05-.07 seconds in the qt mile, there are cooler changes, manifold changes, cams, but that seems to be the difference, and that .05-.07 seconds can add up...its just how far one wants to take it, and how much money you are willing to spend...oh and don't forget slicks vs street tires...another expense you might want to add as well...I did a 12.6 ET w/ bad tires on a hot day...and Rob has just did .07 less than that...I think he has slicks, and all the mods mentioned...so its just up to each person to decide how far they want to take this car...obviously it has a lot of potential to get in the high 11's without NOX...now back on subject, you want as cool as air possible going into the intake...a short intake would have to come from above the hood, then you might just put way too much air in there causing other problems for this engine...this isn't the old muscle car hood scoop era...have fun modding this engine, but it is a different charactor for some of us old muscle car guys...that's why I choose to watch the test and tunes from the guys on this forum...they get it right....
