Thanks again Pat, at least that tells me that only the blades are on the wrong side, and not the blade and the wiper arm. Even though only the passenger side has an airfoil.
Inferno, I was mostly joking about German rubber being inferior, what I should have said is no rubber holds up like it use to.
My 69 AMX still has the original wiper blades, and the last time I got caught in a rain storm with it they worked fine.
But on all the Japanese cars I've owned, I didn't notice the rubber failing unusually fast. So the jury is still out when it comes to German rubber, at least for me.

But now I'm going to start worrying about my "Guibos" wearing out.
