OK UPDATE! I went back out and pulled the rail and installed the clips. Although I don't think they needed because when the plugs are pushed on they can push the clip loose. So don't worry about the clips. The injectors aren't going anywhere

.
I still have a problem with some plugs not "clicking" back in. I think that only 3 or 4 felt really secure. The rest are loose and it doesn't take much to get them off. This isn't that big of an issue. I will see about using a ty-wrap or perhaps some small mil wire to make sure it doesn't pop loose down the road.
I did some playing with the plugs though after I started her back up. I slowly backed a plug off the injector and the engine would die almost immediately. Seems that either you have a connection or you dont.
There isn't much room for it to be loose and still run.
The injectors do not go as far in the manifold as you can push them. I did this and had to back them out some to fit the spacers in because the rail was too low. But at least this way I knew they were in as far as they could go. I can still see a
little bit of the o-ring probably half of the injectors.
Now to the test drive! After I put everything back together again and started it up and checked for leaks. Backed it out of the garage slowly taking the 3/4 mile trip out of my subdivison. I pulled on to the main drag and launched...BIG DIFFERENCE in the power across the entire band!
First gear goes very fast and second and third pull much harder than before. Very easy to break it loose in second. I didn't have much road to go through the gears past fourth but I really like what I have felt so far

I've heard that it takes some time for the ECU to adjust and when it does
it's even faster!
I dunno what caused my problem to begin with something wasn't right. I am just glad I was able to correct it.
