With some simple mods; separate the coolant systems, adding a larger HE and perhaps a better pump, you can get your IAT's to some pretty tame levels. I had good results with these mods (LINK) and the cost was less then $600 (without my custom tank). More pics in my gallery.
Also Woody (AKA waldig) has done a lot of work with engine and IC cooling. Here is one of his mods (LINK). You could give him a PM.
