Default Re: Winter storage/battery removal

I have had excellent performance from the $6.99 Harbor Freight Automatic Battery Float Charger PN 42292-8VGA. I have been using it for the past few years without any issues. Like tighed1 said don't forget the fuel stabilizer. I would also recommend unloading the suspension during the winter here is the link to what I used. I just put my car into storage two weeks ago, this will be its' fifth winter in storage. I always add STA-BIL to the tank and top it off for the winter. Then I change the oil, lift the car slightly off the suspension and then connect the battery charger. Once a month I start the car and let it run for about 15 minutes until it comes up to temp to keep the valves lubricated. This year I changed the antifreeze since it would be five years in the spring.
