If you guys are truly interested in a modified torque converter my Dad owns a transmission shop in Yuma AZ. Team Ramco is the name of the biz. I spoke to him about raising the stall a bit and he was interested. Their bread and butter is heavy equipment like fire trucks and such but they do race car stuff too. Mostly Chevy, Ford and Chrysler (of course the older gen transmissions).

They hand braze the veins on their torque converters, use torrington bearings etc.

I don't know that MPH would be affected though as these are lockup converters

If anyone would be interested I could meet you out there at the shop? I would just need a weeks notice to plan the trek out there.
