Either way you would have to wide openings feeding air to the intakes directly. You are going from parallel to verticle a heavy rain would no questions asked make for a bad day possible water lock
Ahhh; we'll just call it mutual confusion. LOL. The XKR vents are way too small to provide enough airflow for the intakes to breathe through. They would be perfect for venting a decent amount of heat from the engine bay though.
