I don't see us needing a stronger transmission. A torque converter for the racers, yes. Modified TCM's, yes. If our trans is the same as the LX's then several companies already make higher stall torque converters. And if the rear end is the same, different gears have recently become available.
It just seems to me that if the tranny doesn't protest until a 4200 lb. car gets into the low 11's then we should be fine until we start seeing mid 10's in our Xfires.
