Re: Chrysler extended warranty after GM takeover ?
Wish I could answer your question. I've been scared since the day I heard about this. I will share with you why I would never buy another GM product. Brand new 79 Corvette purchased in March of 79 after ordering on Oct 30 1978. Was in the shop 1 week of every month until October of 79. They finally figured out it was the front float in my carb that was hanging up. (Symptom - it would stall out in intersections when cold) That car went bye bye in favor of a 280ZX. In 1985 the last straw....a brand new 85 Monte Carlo. There was an obvious short in the dash somewhere. They couldn't find it. You could sit in the car and smell plastic burning. The owner of the dealership sat in my car with me and said, " I can smell it but if I can't see it I can not fix it." Both the car and dealership went bye bye shortly there after. My two PT Cruisers and Crossfire are the first "American" cars I've owned since, not that the Crossfire is an American car. All I can say is I hope they let Mercedes pick up our service if they do go to GM.
