Default Re: Torque converter

It's hard to know. The LX's start snapping with drag radials and low 12's - high 11's. But they weigh a whole lot more. The transmission if not the same, is variant of the same. I would guess it would take a tune that completely does away with torque management, drag radials and a bit of bad luck. If the axles are more or less the same strength, I think we have to get a lot faster to equal the stresses that the added weight of the LX's and higher torque at launch of the 5.7 or 6.1. But I'm just guessing. We will know when the first one breaks. But based on the lack of failures in the LX's, the speeds they are running and their weight, we have still have a rather large safety margin.

But again, I'm just guessing.
