Car can be bump started but there is a trigger that needs to be momentary for the clutch or you get no cruise control.

I realize that some people think that it's kind of a joke that all American cars do this while European cars don't but I implore you to find a valid reason to want to start the car without the clutch enabled. I think that the safety concerns are really to strong to want to disable it. Just my two cents though.
