I take my two little dogs all the time in my car. Got a beach towel, had my brother sew the top to curve it around the head rest part, so it will stay on the seat. Works really great. As for the dog coming over the console, one of mine kept trying to come over it and was shifting the car while I was stopped to get on the freeway. I went to merge and my car wouldn't move. I thought omg what happened! So now she sits on the floor and the other dog get's the seat Boy is he happy.....
