Well, I think you have every right to send it back. Even if they were not used. The extra piece in there would definitely cause some concern as well. I never bought the Rotex Gold pads before, but I do not think anyone should take it personally if a customer wants to send something back... business is business. Should have just offered to accept the return and send another set of pads...
