At least you 350z owners know you dont stand a chance against that. When i 1st saw the 350z i loved it. That feeling was crushed when I first drove one. I was like thatsall the power it has? Thats no better than my mustang gt. I feel the same way about the 350z as i do the XF. They are both 50 hp shortof stardom.
What my fellow Z enthusiast said, these cars are designed for different things and it isn't a fair comparison because of the Mach 1's more powerful output. The Z in my opinion is a car capable of doing very well at different factors of racing with the capacity to do even better when modified. The GT for instance is more than one whole liter larger than the Z and possesses two more pistons. There should be no wonder why the Z cost 10k because despite it lesser-sized engine it is fully capable of whoopin on most Mustangs (again, Grand Am Cup Series Points speak for themselves last time I check for manufacturers standings) I don't know the exact specs of the Mach 1 but im pretty sure if you put one up against a Z on a road course with some twisties, the Z will give you a run for your money. Mustang owners, as well as most American muscle car enthusiasts stritcly base value on power-to-dollar ratio which in this day in age is absolete. If it wasn't, numerous automotive critic magazines and t.v. shows wouldn't have raved about the Z's great value.
