Default Re: Custom Hood - Or Not

Since so many people have different ideas as to what kind of custom hood they would like to have, and no aftermarket company offers a "cheap" steel replacement hood for the Crossfire. I was wondering if there isn't enough "Backyard" automotive designers out there that would be able to come up with something unique out of fiberglass, if a "blank" fiberglass Crossfire hood was offered.
Fiberglass is so much easier to work with (than steel) and if we could get enough forum members to order a "Stock" fiberglass reproduction of the Crossfires hood, from AAR, it would be an excellent "canvas" from which any number of personal designs could be created.
All it would take is a "SERIOUS" group of around a dozen members (with approximately $900.00 each for shipping and handling included) to submit their orders to AAR Fiberglass in Fla.
Probably the only real decission that would need to be made is, to build the reproduction hood with or without the factories hood strakes.
Does this sound like something anybody would be interested in pursuing? I already have another hood design in the back of my mind, so I'd be willing to put up my share of the cash to get it off the ground.
Anybody else?
