Evos are a lot of fun, several of my friends have them. I have a video posted up of me racing my friends evo. You can make them run low 12's or high 11's fairly easy. That AWD launch can be a killer on 1/8 mile tracks but you can usually make it up on the 1/4 mile tracks.

Superchargers typically will have a bypass valve aka boost actuator valve and turbos a blowoff valve. The blowoff valve is audible but some types of bypass valves are audible as well.

If you go on youtube and type "blow off valve" you can see several videos of cars running them. Kids all over the place here have them on their cars, you can not drive around the block without hearing 2 or 3 of them lol.
