Default Dealer to repair inop seat heater

So I finally took it in to get my seat heater fixed before the 3 year in service date expired. I told them this is a common problem and they looked like they had never had the problem before. Of course. So after an hour of diagnosis they are going to order a repair kit to fix the problem. Has anyone else had a "kit" installed to correct this problem? I've heard some horror stories and some good results stories. It seems if their is a kit, they must have had a lot of problems with the seat heaters.
