It always seems like that's what some dealers do to " sports" cars that aren't moving off their lot fast enough.
They either pile on as many "aftermarket" add-on's they can find, (for free) or they try to come up with some sort of different paint scheme their in house paint shop can do for next to nothing.
The Chrysler dealer about 10 miles north of me had 3 Crossfires painted up differently. One actually didn't look too bad. But that was a couple years ago, and I've never seen any of them on the road since.
