Not sure what the 78ks means unless its the milage. I believe that you should drive a car from new like you are going to drive it.

I heard it said that if you baby it and one day really get on it the added heat can make the rings hit the wear ridge at the top of the bore and crack the ring. In the old days you had to go slo till the rough edges are worn smooth, thats long gone. Though I would do a n early first oil change 1/2 of so to get out the wear that does occure early on.
