These are most definitely the best kept secret in the automotive world.

Underneath the sexy skin is a true tested drive train and suspension. After 6 years as an slk 320 MB the proven unit was recast with the cool body and no real advertising.

For less than half the cost of any similar performer, you will get a steal. And now, even new ones are cheaper than a decent ricer or Chevy Cobalt.

Mercedes builds good cars so the service issues, of which there have been few, are but minor irritations. Unless you buy and SRT-6 (cause you will drive it like a crazy man) the car should last 100M miles, with little more than maintainance, no problem. After that it will be like any Benz, not worth the cost of repair but you will fix it anyway because you still really love the car.

In the event you have issues, there are many here on the forum who can help you thru it with advice and sourcing parts and service. And remember, the only thing not MB on the car is the Chrysler badges.

Unless you need more than two seats or room for two sets of golf clubs, (or two decent cup holders) this is the best deal around since just about never.

Yeah, I like my Crossfire.
