Re: load equalizer HID dash warning light
the reason i am doing this and going direct through the battery is so i can get a good source of power and i dont want to burn up the stock wiring since the amperage on the HID is much greater during the intial start up. many people who use the stock wiring can damage it, or experience a flickering issue. I did a retrofit using G35 ballast and created my own harness for my acura and went direct to the battery and never experienced any issues. I wont experience any issues with the harness i plan to use except i dont want the dash light to go of.
I am trying to find out if i use a capactor on the stock wiring on both sides and there is no load on it what capacitor should i use. most of the guys that use the 2200 uf have a ballast hooked up after that so the car sees the ballast at 35w load and the capacitor so it tricks the computer into thinking there is a regular bulb. Someone else on the Mercedes board used a 10,000 uf capacitor along with a ballast. so i am trying to figure out what is a good cap to use to trick the computer with no load on the stock wiring, since i will go direct to the battery for a good source of clean power.
