The BIG expense is getting the top installed!
Permatex black silicone adhesive sealant? Don't think its gonna work for ya. It's great for gaskets and low stress applications not so much for holding things together. I used contact cement when I installed my convertible top (Camaro) strong stuff.
Have a picture of the problem area?
