I had it on a GMC engine 4.3L V six. By the time I found the cause the engine was ruined and had to be rebuilt. All the sludge had filled the oil channels and stopped lubrication to vital areas. It was the gaskets under the heads. It was a slow leak, but very damaging. Good luck, do not drive it until you find the cause. I do not think it is low milleage driving.
