The E55 AMG engine/tranny and custom parts required will cost substantially more than the entire SRT-6 purchase.
IMHO, if you have enough money to pursue this, you'd be better suited to buy a low-mileage 996 turbo and add a few basic performance mods (ECU/intake/headers/exhaust). For a comparable investment, you'll have a vehicle that will accellerate faster, handle better, brake better, and have a much higher residual value when it's all said and done. Not trying to rain on your parade, because it is an interesting question/idea... just my $0.02.
