Other than checking behind the pedal, do this test:

1. Accelerate using half gas pedal.

2. Accelerate using full gas pedal.

3. Compare

If they are similar, you have a sprintbooster. It shrinks the pedal's response into the first half of travel, making the transmission extremely responsive to the slightest change in input.
