LOL.....sorry, I deal with stupid every day of the workweek!

I offer the following story as an example.......

About 2 years ago I was sent on a consulting gig to a Company in Alabama that shall remain unnamed. By trade, I'm a welding and robotics consultant. I showed up to said company with a bag of tools and immediately asked one of the supervisors if a shipment arrived that I had sent there. The "supervisor" replied that it had showed up and proceeded to show me the way over to it. I proceed to open the box, which contained welding consumable items and 2 big boxes marked "ER70S Superarc Welding Wire". The following conversation ensued......(BTW, I speak northern, while the "supervisor" spoke redneck!)....

me - Thanks.... I'll get right to installing this after I give the robots a check-up.

him - Allwight......wawt's in the bawx?

me - wire

him - right dare

me - wire

him (after moving closer to the box and pointing) - right dare

me - WIRE

him (after putting his finger on the box where it says "wire") - dis one

me - WIRE....for the welders!

him - Oh......ya didn't hafta yell!

By this time I just wanted to scream......all I could think is "it's going to be a long week!"


I run into more people on a daily basis that make me wonder if the human gene pool needs a lifeguard.
