Wife & I had been looking for a good low mileage Crossfire for several months now. Located a 2007 Crossfire Limited Coupe with automatic on a Mitsubishi dealer's lot in KCMO during a visit to see my dad back in SEP. Car had only 1500 miles on it. Was bought new from a dealer in Lee's Summit, KS in MAR/08. Owner didn't like the car after owning several Eclipses. Traded the Crossfire for a new Eclipse (imagine that!). Anyway, picked up the car for less than private value and drove it home to SC. So far, wife & I really enjoy the car and I really like the driveability & performance. Not sure the color is correct in my signature below, but that's what the dealer called it.
I've been a limited performance car owner for quite a few years. I bought a 1986 Merkur XR4Ti new back in NOV/87, when that car sat on a dealer's lot for over a year. Ended up owning 88 & 89 models also. Just recently sold the 88 & 89 cars, and will soon sell off my 86 XR4Ti. Just don't have the time anymore to fiddle with the Merkurs.
Wife & I have been 'empty nesters' for a few years now & we like taking off for short weekend getaways. The Crossfire fills the bill when it comes to these road trips.
Anyway, I'll be around from time to time.
Later,
Congrats and welcome to the forum, Great Choice!!
Wasn't the Merkur XR4ti basically a ford escort or something close?
