I bought a beautiful German-built Chrysler with all the niggles and problems of a low-end Mercedes and Karmann coach built car, but it's still a Chrysler to me. I've had more problems with this top-notch 'Benz' than many Chrysler's I've driven, but I still love it, and if I'm tryin to impress with snob appeal I'll show a Mercedes star or two.
