I tend to agree with that ... it's a major investment, generally second only to buying a home, and if you "settle" for something other than what you want, you'll spend a lot of time wishing you'd done it different ... the only reason I can think of for settling is if you get MOST of what you want at a really good deal and you've learned that what you want might not be available ...
