I
JUST finished installing the 330s and WOW!!! I had a little difficulty finding non-polarized 330s, including a trip to the local radio shack and Circuit City. I finally found them at a small electronics parts store, however I went with the 65V instead of the 100V. The 100V were almost twice the size. Additionally, all they had was polarized. So, I bought two for each side and connectd them in series. I soldered the negative (-) connectors together and shrunk wrap them. That left the positive (+) ends free for the lead wires. Using my glue gun, I glued the two radial units together and then completed the wiring steps to make the leads. A quick solder of about 4 inches of lead wire and some shrink wrap around the connections, and all was done. It took me longer to prep the capacitors then to actually install them in the Xfire.
In all, it was well worth the time. The separation is incredible. I cranked it all the way to 40 with a Great White CD in the unit and it was so clean and tight. I actually dropped the bass down to +5 and the treble was so crisp, I dropped it to +4. What a difference!!! This is a must-do for anyone who is still using their Infinity stereo and wants a cheap, fast upgrade to TOTALLY enhance the sound.
