The BAS is only active when the ECU detects a special "brake-situation" when there are only a VERY FEW milliseconds between let off the gas and go quickly into the brakes. This situation is very hard to reproduce, because its a very fast reflex-situation like if you suddenly see a foot-passenger a few meters in front of your car.
