Well, I decided to bring my Crossfire into another dealer to get their input on the engine clatter sound and it turned out very positive.

This was last Friday. Unlike the previous dealer, who I think just blew me off, the service manager took time to let me demonstrate to him what the issue was. He went to get the Crossfire tech out to listen to the clatter.. The Tech listened for a second and said. "Sounds like noisy lifters" and took the car to the back.

Got a call from the Service advisor a few hours later saying that the tech has taken the engine apart to diagnose the issue and is still analyzing.. but also that the Tech went ahead and ordered in new lifters and parts earlier in the day when I brought the car in just to have it ready if that was indeed tha cause.

That was Friday..

The dealer's service area clsoes on Saturday and Sunday, so I was suprised when the service manager called just now (Monday) and said that the car was ready to pick up. I asked him what was wrong and he said.. the tech replaced the lifters in the car and that was what was causing the noise.

Can't wait to pick it up and if indeed they did resolve the noise with replacing the lifters, I would rate the service and turn around time of this dealer to be excellent, and they would be my dealer fo choice for service and maintenance in the future.

I'll post back after I pick the car up later.

Oh.. the dealer is Helfman Chrysler River Oaks in Houston..
