For what it's worth.
I was talking with a driving instructor guy a few weeks ago who had sold his (auto) C55 AMG and bought a Tiptronic Porsche Boxster (986). He hates the paddle shifters on the steering wheel in the Boxster and wishes he had a tranny that he could smack the stick on like he had in the MB. The Tiptronic system apparently doesn't give him the shifting flexibility of the MB tranny system like we have in the auto Crossfires.
Greener grass comes to mind.
