When I had my Eclipse... I also had a problem like this. Only instead of it being the cold, it was the heat. The fact is, in the Eclipse they were held on with some type of tar. In the heat, it actually melted... and persisted to drip on automatic lock actuator... lol. Imagine that problem. I had to rip my door apart to fix it. And it was actually some what of a common problem.
