I can't believe they are totalling the car from an Insurance perspective. As I mentioned above, it cost 2,500 to repair my Voyager V6 engine when it got hydrolocked.

I would have thought they could source an MB engine and keep the rest of the car?

You should buy the car off the insurance company and get it fixed yourself.
