Since day 1 of owning my 2008 Roadster, there is a metal crackling sound whenever I am parking and turning my wheel in reverse. This noise is only when in reverse. Anyone else experience this metal crackling noise? Any ideas as what it could be. I am very reluctant to take it in to the dealer. They are clueless and will muck up something else for sure. Thanks.
Hi, I would check the condition of the engine and transmission mounts first if the sound occurs when the vehicle is changed from one transmission position to the next. Getting the car up on a jack would be the easiest way to do this.
