Man, it wasn't a new M3 (sigh), but it was one that I've always wanted. It was a 2006 M3 E46 loaded with less than 10k on the clock. Here is what I replied when I learned of the offer:
"Thanks for checking, but this car sold for $47K in 2005. I know the value of two seat sports cars has dropped, but 14k is absolutely unacceptable. Kelly Blue Book and NADA both average about 18.5 for this car. I'm really curious how you determine "current market value." Most dealers use KBB, NADA, or an average of both. Well, maybe we can still talk. Seeing how you are valuing my extremely nice, German engineered, rare, warranty-equipped, 0-60 in 4.7 second car at the price of a Hyundai Accent, just drop the price of the M3 down to $29,600."
Nothing back yet... LOL
BTW, That CTS V is already on the road and may be the fastest production 4-door sedan ever built by a factory. 0-60 in 3.5! Too much cash for me right now though as is the new M3 :-(
