Well, it worked for the Shelby Mustang owners.
I've been trying to get the AMX owners to ban together for years for the same reason, but it's been a lesson in futility. I even started a Registry "The AMX Deuce Coupe Registry" but only about 100 owners responded, (not enough to even put a dent in a price fixing scheme).
Most "smart" car dealers use the "Black Book" to figure wholesale prices. It comes out weekly, and it's a compilation of wholesale dealer auction prices from the previous week. The Black Book is also regional, (only lists prices for cars sold at auctions in their area).
