I special ordered it from the factory with the options I wanted. All was great until it started consuming oil excessively. It was a known problem circulating through the G35Driver.com forum. Several 6MT owners were having their engines replaced under warranty because of it. My dealer performed consumption tests and said that Nissan was aware of the problem and were working on a fix, but didn't know how long it would take. That's when I got rid of it and got the SRT. It was SLOW compared to the SRT, the brakes only lasted 10k miles, and some interior pieces and body panels were sloppy.

As for the E46, yes, I've driven one and BMWs just drive superbly. Not sure what it is about them, they just feel right. If I have to get a sedan, I know it may not be as fast or as violent as the SRT, but it is a very, very, nice, beautiful car. I mean, c'mon, it's an M3, a benchmark and a legend. That being said, I don't think I'll be getting rid of the Xfire for a while (if ever) due to the terrible value. I'll just have to save up and start over with the climb up the auto ladder. Who knows, maybe I'll just go pay cash for an Altiima or something...
