The SL55 intake provides the best of both worlds (IMHO):

Dual 3" intake tubes drawing (ramming) cold air from the front of the engine compartment - maximizing both intake openings.
Huge (dual) air filters protected from water, bugs and road grime.
Huge Y-Pipe feeding that hungry supercharger.

Plus you can pull over after driving hard for an hour, pop the hood and place your bare hand on any intake component and leave it there.

Try that with any metal intake....but please, do it near a burn center.....
