That is not so true...
There are a few regional dialects which do not sound so hock-a-loogie. My fiancé is Arabic... now that language is hock-a-loogie, but I love it too... Arabic is very nice. But my grandparents came from München and had that Bavarian/Austrian accent which is a bit homorous to most other German speakers... in fact a lot of Germans do not really consider Bavaria to be part of Germany at all...
You have to be careful with French... ladies might think you are gay lol... no offense. I love French. I never got to learn much, I only took a couple years.
