Default Re: Temp Brake Failure / left front caliper problem ?

I had the pads wear down to metal on one wheel of my 2007 300 due to rusty caliper slide pins. One dealer said I had to pay, so I took it to the dealer were I purchased it and they did it under warranty. The first dealer had taken of all the wheels to study the situation and I believe the mechanic was p***ed of at having to put them on again with no pay. So he put the nuts on the wheels so tight that the impact gun at the second dealer could not take them off, he had to use a 5' extension on a socket breaker. Most of them finally came off but some had to be drilled off and the studs replaced. I will not be going back to this dealer ever again.
My advice is to find a dealer you can work with and stick to them, the trouble is it often costs money before you find them.
