I'm trying to use my Homelink system a little differently as I don't have anything else to use it for. What I'm trying to get it to do is control my front license plate retracter. Its controlled by a little transmitter and the Homelink was programed with the codes per the instructions. However, I'm unable to get the any responce from the plate retracter when I push the button. I'm not sure if I'm out of range from whereever the Homelink transmits or if the thing didn't take the code. I've never had a Homelink system so I'm not sure how it functions. It should be able to perform this task I'd think as it says it can control various other RF items.

Anyone know where the Homelink transmitts from on the car?
