A battery maintainer, like Deltran, Schumacher, and others will help extend the battery life of a battery in a vehicle that gets infrequent usage. OTH, if you drive your car every day a maintainer will probably not help as your charging system will do a good job of keeping the battery up to snuff.

Remember, I said maintainer, NOT charger....big difference.
